This week in music:
The 7th grade classes completed their keyboard unit and will learn about World Music through PowerPoint presentations, listening clips and video clips. The 6th grade classes have started their group projects on the Periods of Music (i.e.: Classical, Baroque.) The 8th grade classes have started their project on World Music. They have chosen a country of their choice to research the music and culture. They will then create a PowerPoint presentation to be presented to the class!
I look forward to seeing the projects come together!

This week in music:
The students are working towards playing melodies in treble and bass clef on the keyboards. By the end of the week, they will be playing melodies that create harmony using both hands at the same time! The 7th grade Musical Artist Project is due this week!
I look forward to seeing what they have prepared!

This week in music:

The students are being assessed on their knowledge of note names in the treble and bass clef, intervals, key signatures, solfege, and John Curwen's hand signs. Later in the week, we will begin our keyboard unit! This unit is always a favorite, because the students love to play instruments and try new activities! I look forward to the remainder of the week!

Just a reminder- the 7th grade Musical Artist Project is due next week!
